Irish Guitar Tab
Colliers (The)

A popular reel in Irish music sessions, it is sometimes played with or without naturalized ‘C’ notes—a variation common to many traditional tunes. The melody was recorded by the renowned uilleann piper, pipe maker, and teacher Leo Rowsome of County Clare/Dublin. According to Séamus Connolly (2002), the reel may trace its origins to Arigna in County Leitrim, a coal-mining region celebrated for its musical heritage.
